Drone

"A drone is an autonomous self-repairing unit charged with the manteinance of the Pipeline and its LS systems. These machines have roamed every tunel and crevice of the Pipeline for centuries, most of the time alone and lacking any sort of human supervision... not that they need it anyway, they seem to do better without us fooling around obstructing their job. They're a living vestige of a technology we once had and we no longer understand."
